INCLUDES 3X BOXES OF PLASTIC-FREE COFFEE PODS - FREE
Plastic-Free Brew Path
The Milton Line1 replaces critical plastic components with 304 stainless steel, the same grade used in professional espresso machines. Where $100 pod machines use plastic to keep costs down, we use stainless steel. Once coffee leaves the capsule, it never touches plastic on its way to your cup.
Reason 1
Zero Plastic, Right Where the Heat and Pressure Peak
The brew system is where conditions inside a pod machine are most extreme. Water reaches nearly 200°F and is forced through the capsule under high pressure in a matter of seconds.
In other pod-based brewers, the components coffee flows through after brewing are plastic. Not in the Line1.
We replaced the front of the brew unit, filter, and spouts with 304 stainless steel. So from the moment coffee starts flowing out of the capsule until it reaches your cup, it makes zero contact with plastic.
“We made the switch from Nespresso to Milton. I’m not sure if it’s the all-metal construction or the quality of the coffee Milton offers, but the results are clear: I have definitely improved my coffee experience.”
- Susan L.
Reason 2
Coffee That Tastes Like Coffee, Not the Machine It Came From
Materials can leave a fingerprint on flavor, and plastic tends to leave a heavier one than steel.
By removing plastic from the components coffee flows through immediately after brewing, what reaches your cup is closer to what the roaster intended. Owners who’ve switched from a standard pod machine consistently describe a cleaner, clearer shot.
Reason 3
A Slow-Flow Filter Only Stainless Steel Can Achieve
The Line1’s slow-flow filter uses precision micro-holes to restrict flow, increase brewing pressure, and extend extraction compared with a standard pod machine.
That level of precision isn’t achievable with an injection-molded plastic filter. It requires the tolerances of machined 304 stainless steel.
Paired with the Line1’s brew chamber gasket, it creates a longer, higher-pressure extraction across virtually every OriginalLine-compatible capsule. The result: richer flavor and thicker crema, every time.
Reason 4
It Rinses Itself, After Every Single Cup
After every brew, the Line1 automatically rinses its stainless steel filter plate. And the fact that other machines in this category dont...is just plain gross if you ask us.
It’s a feature borrowed from high-end espresso machines and, until now, never built into a pod brewer. Less residue buildup means more consistent flavor from cup to cup and less cleaning and maintenance for you.
Reason 5
Pre-Infusion, Because Better Coffee Isn’t Only About the Material
Not every Line1 upgrade comes from removing plastic. Some just come from better engineering.
Before full pressure is applied, the Line1 gently pre-infuses the coffee inside the capsule, promoting a more even extraction across the entire pod instead of concentrating it in the center.
It’s a small step most pod machines skip, and another reason the Line1 brews noticeably differently.
Why We Took Plastic Out of the Brew Path
Heat and pressure are two conditions associated with plastic shedding into food and beverages. And both are unavoidable when brewing espresso.
Concerns around plastic contact in pod-based coffee machines aren’t new. Our approach was simple: replace the critical components coffee touches after brewing with stainless steel, then pair the machine with coffees packaged in either metal or compostable plant-based capsules.
Same convenience. No compromises.
