These coffee pods feature Bellagio Forte, a bold dark roast espresso blend from Cafe Agga designed for Nespresso OriginalLine machines. Built for coffee drinkers who enjoy a rich, chocolate-forward cup, these espresso pods deliver strong flavor and creamy texture without the bitterness that often comes with darker roasts.

In the cup, Bellagio Forte leads with deep dark chocolate character supported by milk chocolate sweetness and subtle sweet spice notes reminiscent of cinnamon. The texture is smooth and creamy, creating a full-bodied espresso that feels bold and satisfying while remaining balanced and easy to drink. It works beautifully as a straight espresso and holds its structure well in milk drinks.

This dark roast blend combines coffees sourced from Colombia, Ethiopia, and parts of Asia. When coffees from these regions are roasted darker, they develop deeper chocolatey and nutty flavors while softening the brighter fruit notes found in lighter roasts. The result is a cup that feels rich and comforting, with plenty of body and sweetness.

Each capsule is calibrated to brew consistently in Nespresso compatible pod machines, including the Milton Line1. A finer grind and slightly higher capsule resistance help build body and preserve the chocolate-forward character of the coffee. On Miltons 1-4 extraction flow scale, Bellagio Forte lands at a 2, producing a smooth, creamy espresso with balanced intensity.

Roast & Origin

This is a dark roast blend built from coffees sourced in Colombia, Ethiopia, and parts of Asia. When coffees from these regions are roasted darker, they tend to develop deeper, chocolatey and nutty flavors rather than bright or fruity ones - which is exactly what youre tasting here.

Calibrated Extraction

Bellagio Forte is built with a finer grind and slightly higher capsule resistance to bring out body and chocolate-forward depth. That means it flows a bit more slowly than most mass-market pods, which is completely normal for this style of coffee. On our 1-4 flow scale, it lands at a 2, delivering a smooth, creamy cup with balanced intensity.

Brewing Tips

Each Cafe Agga pod contains about 6 grams of coffee, so how you brew it makes difference.

Strong Espresso: 25ml (switch #1)

Mild Espresso: 50ml (switch #2)

Strong Coffee: 25ml espresso + 75ml hot water

Mild Coffee: Brew two pods + 150ml hot water

Too strong? add water. Weak? Less water. It all comes down to preference, and once you've got your recipe down, the Line1 can save that setting.

Café Agga is one of Canada’s most respected specialty coffee roasters, and what stood out to us is how hands-on they are. Unlike many capsule brands that rely on co-packers, Agga imports their own green coffee, roasts it themselves, and packs every capsule in-house. That level of control shows up in consistency and freshness.

Agga is also a third-generation, family-run business. The Agathiadis family has been involved in coffee since the 1940s, with roots in Africa and Europe before founding Café Agga in Quebec in the late 1980s. Today, we work directly with Stephanie Agathiadis, who continues the family’s long-standing focus on quality and sourcing.
