This is a dark roast blend built from coffees sourced in Colombia and Costa Rica. When coffees from these regions are roasted darker, they tend to emphasize chocolatey depth, nutty warmth, and subtle sweetness rather than brightness or fruit. That combination is what gives Intenso its classic, full-bodied character.

Calibrated Extraction

Cafe Agga calibrates Intenso for a smooth, open extraction that supports its bold body and chocolate-forward profile without tipping into harshness. The grind and capsule resistance are tuned to flow efficiently while preserving crema, richness, and balance. Brewing Tips

Each Cafe Agga pod contains about 6 grams of coffee, so how you brew it makes difference.

Strong Espresso: 25ml (switch #1)

Mild Espresso: 50ml (switch #2)

Strong Coffee: 25ml espresso + 75ml hot water

Mild Coffee: Brew two pods + 150ml hot water

Too strong? add water. Weak? Less water. It all comes down to preference, and once you've got your recipe down, the Line1 can save that setting.

Café Agga is one of Canada’s most respected specialty coffee roasters, and what stood out to us is how hands-on they are. Unlike many capsule brands that rely on co-packers, Agga imports their own green coffee, roasts it themselves, and packs every capsule in-house. That level of control shows up in consistency and freshness.

Agga is also a third-generation, family-run business. The Agathiadis family has been involved in coffee since the 1940s, with roots in Africa and Europe before founding Café Agga in Quebec in the late 1980s. Today, we work directly with Stephanie Agathiadis, who continues the family’s long-standing focus on quality and sourcing.
