Product Description

These coffee pods feature Vol. 2 from Dutch Colony, a vibrant single origin espresso designed for Nespresso OriginalLine and other Nespresso compatible pod machines. Built from naturally processed Ethiopian coffee, these coffee capsules deliver a lively cup that balances fruit sweetness with smooth nutty depth.

In the cup, Vol. 2 opens with bright notes of ripe grapes followed by soft plum sweetness that carries through the middle of the palate. A gentle hazelnut richness rounds out the finish, creating an espresso that feels layered and balanced rather than sharp or overwhelming. The texture stays silky and integrated, giving the cup energy while maintaining smoothness.

This coffee comes from Ethiopias Suke Kuto region, a natural-processed origin known for its expressive fruit character and sweetness. Roasting at a medium level preserves the coffees bright grape and plum notes while developing additional depth and structure. The result is an espresso that feels both lively and comforting, with fruit clarity supported by soft nutty sweetness.

Each capsule is designed to brew consistently in Nespresso compatible pod machines, producing a balanced extraction that highlights the coffees fruit character, sweetness, and smooth body. The result is a silky espresso with vibrant fruit notes and a rounded, satisfying finish.

We taste and vet everything we sell, and we stand behind it. If you buy something and don't love it, we'll happily send you a different box. Because at Milton, the coffee also matters more than the money.

Volume 2 from

Dutch Colony coffee

Taste & Texture

Vol.2 is smooth, layered, and quietly expressive. Youll pick up bright notes of ripe grapes and soft plum sweetness up front, balanced by a gentle hazelnut richness that rounds out the finish. The texture is silky and well-integrated, giving the cup a lively feel without ever becoming sharp or overwhelming.

Roast & Origin

Vol.2 comes from Ethiopia Suke Kuto, a natural-processed single origin coffee noted for its fruity sweetness and distinctive flavor profile. At a medium roast level, this coffee develops rich sweetness and depth while still preserving the lighter fruit characteristics that make Ethiopian naturals so special. On the palate youll find bright notes like grapes and plums, balanced with comforting hazelnut praline sweetness…a combination designed to feel both lively and smooth

Calibrated Extraction

Dutch Colony tunes the Vol.2 pod to deliver a slightly slower, measured extraction that helps those natural fruit and sweet notes develop fully in the cup. On our 1-4 flow scale, Vol.2 lands at a 3, meaning a slower, controlled flow is expected. This style of extraction supports a more complete flavor development from the coffee and delivers the smooth, rich profile that Dutch Colony aims for in this edition of their capsules.

Espresso & Coffee

Brewing Tips

Each Dutch Colony pod contains about 6 grams of coffee, so how you brew it makes difference.

Strong Espresso: 25ml (switch #1)

Mild Espresso: 50ml (switch #2)

Strong Coffee: 25ml espresso + 75ml hot water

Mild Coffee: Brew two pods + 150ml hot water

Too strong? add water. Weak? Less water. It all comes down to preference, and once you've got your recipe down, the Line1 can save that setting.

Roasted in Singapore

Dutch Colony Coffee

Dutch Colony is a specialty coffee roaster founded in Singapore, with a strong focus on sourcing transparency, careful roasting, and everyday drinkability. What stood out to us is how intentionally they approach balance. Dutch Colony works directly with producers and import partners to source coffees that are expressive but approachable, then roasts them with consistency in mind rather than chasing extremes.

Their capsule offerings follow the same philosophy. Instead of treating pods as a shortcut, Dutch Colony adapts their coffees specifically for capsule brewing so the character of the coffee still comes through cleanly and reliably. It’s a thoughtful approach that avoids the thin, over processed results that give pod coffee a bad reputation, and that’s exactly why we chose to bring their coffee into the Milton lineup.
