These Nespresso compatible coffee pods feature Elipse from Savage Coffees, an extraordinary competition-level espresso designed for Nespresso OriginalLine machines and other Nespresso compatible pod systems. Produced by Jamison Savage at the renowned Finca Deborah in Panama and roasted to preserve its delicate structure, these coffee pods bring one of the most celebrated coffees in modern specialty coffee into a convenient format.

In the cup, Elipse opens with vibrant pink fruit sweetness layered with grape and strawberry notes that immediately signal its Geisha pedigree. A delicate champagne-like brightness lifts the profile while floral aromatics expand across the palate. As the cup settles, sweet cream and soft milk chocolate appear beneath the fruit, adding balance and depth. The texture is silky, expansive, and refined, delivering a long, memorable finish that feels elegant and precise.

This coffee is a hybrid-processed Geisha grown at Finca Deborah in Panamas Chiriquí region at elevations above 1900 meters. The farms volcanic soil, rainforest climate, and shade-grown conditions contribute to the coffees exceptional clarity and complexity. The beans undergo natural nitrogen maceration followed by a washed finish, a method that amplifies fruit character while maintaining structure and balance. Elipse achieved global recognition when it was used as the winning coffee at the 2024 World Barista Championship.

Savage calibrates Elipse for a deliberately slow, precision-focused extraction that maximizes sweetness, florals, and textural depth. The fine grind and higher capsule resistance create extended contact time between water and coffee. This slower flow is intentional and expected for elite specialty-grade Savage capsules. On our 1-4 flow scale, Elipse lands at a 4, meaning a slow, syrupy extraction is normal and desirable, delivering exceptional concentration and clarity in every cup. Each Savage pod contains about 6 grams of coffee, so how you brew it makes difference.

Strong Espresso: 25ml (switch #1)

Mild Espresso: 50ml (switch #2)

Short Coffee: 25ml espresso + 75ml hot water

Tall Coffee: Brew two pods + 150ml hot water

Too strong? add water. Weak? Less water. It all comes down to preference, and once you've got your recipe down, the Line1 can save that setting.

Savage Coffees is a Panama based coffee producer and roaster founded by Jamison Savage, best known for the extraordinary coffees grown on his high elevation farms in the volcanic highlands near Volcan Baru. Coffees from Savage farms, including the renowned Finca Deborah, have become some of the most sought after in the specialty coffee world. In fact, coffee from Savage Coffees was used to win the 2025 World Barista Championship, one of the highest honors in the industry. Unlike most roasters, Savage Coffees controls the process from the ground up.

The team grows, processes, and roasts their own coffees, experimenting with fermentation and processing techniques that highlight the character of each harvest. It is a true farm to cup operation built around pushing quality as far as it can go. We have a lot of respect for coffee companies that know their craft at the highest level but are not too proud to embrace the pod format.
