These Nespresso compatible coffee pods feature Italo Disco from St. Ali, a bold dark roast espresso designed for Nespresso OriginalLine machines and other Nespresso compatible pod systems. Roasted in Melbourne, Australia, these coffee pods deliver a classic Italian-style espresso built around deep chocolate richness and smooth roasted sweetness.

In the cup, Italo Disco opens with pronounced dark chocolate depth followed by warm brown sugar sweetness that adds balance and body. A soft almond note develops through the finish, bringing gentle nuttiness that keeps the espresso grounded and comforting. The texture remains dense and creamy, creating a cup that feels bold, smooth, and unmistakably traditional.

This dark roast blend combines coffees sourced from Brazil and India. Brazilian coffees contribute chocolate sweetness and rounded body, while Indian coffees add structure and intensity. This is a dark roast blend built from coffees sourced in Brazil and India. When coffees from these regions are roasted darker, they tend to emphasize chocolate depth, sweetness, and body over brightness. That combination gives Italo Disco its old-school espresso character.

Calibrated Extraction

St. Ali calibrates this capsule for a steady, pressure-forward extraction that builds body and crema. The flow is intentionally controlled to support richness and sweetness. On our 1-4 flow scale, Italo Disco lands at a 2, meaning a slightly slower, deliberate flow is normal and expected.

Each St Ali pod contains about 6 grams of coffee, so how you brew it makes difference.

Strong Espresso: 25ml (switch #1)

Mild Espresso: 50ml (switch #2)

Short Coffee: 25ml espresso + 75ml hot water

Tall Coffee: Brew two pods + 150ml hot water

Too strong? add water. Weak? Less water. It all comes down to preference, and once you've got your recipe down, the Line1 can save that setting.
